John G. Abraham is a dedicated family physician based in Tulsa, Oklahoma, with a keen interest in building a practice that is based on mutual respect between patients and care team. He has a strong educational foundation with a Doctor of Medicine from Morehouse School of Medicine and a Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Sciences in Philadelphia.
Throughout his career, Dr. Abraham has gained extensive experience in various medical settings. He has served as a staff physician at Juno Medical, Crossover Health Services, Harvard Family Physicians, and Good Samaritan Health Services. His experience also includes working as a hospitalist at Ascension St.John community hospitals and serving as the Medical Director of the David L. Moss Jail.
Dr. Abraham has demonstrated leadership as a former board member of Crossover Community Impact, contributing to initiatives aimed at improving health, education, employment, and housing in Tulsa’s underserved communities. He is currently a board member of the Sabbath Life community that promotes care for those in service fields that are in need of time for rest and reflection. He also serves as an elder at his church, New City Fellowship Tulsa in his neighborhood. His commitment to excellence is highlighted by awards such as the Excellence in Behavioral Medicine at In His Image Family Medicine Residency (2012) and the Excellence in Primary Care Award at Morehouse School of Medicine (2009).
He holds several certifications, including being a Diplomat of the National Board of Family Medicine, and he is licensed to practice in Oklahoma and Pennsylvania. Additionally, Dr. Abraham has previously certified as an American Academy of HIV Medicine Specialist.
When not practicing medicine, John enjoys spending time with his wife, children, family, and friends. His interests include simple living, art, music, exercise, and board games.
